Becoming a member is simple – all you need to do is sign your company up as a member. We’ll then ask you to buy at least £1,500 in credits with no upper limit.
You will then be able to choose which projects you want to spend your credits on – each credit is worth £500.
Every donation you make has a huge impact on the lives of people in local communities, providing access to life-changing technology and electricity.
We charge a flat rate for membership of £1,000 a year. This allows us to cover our running costs and ensure that every penny donated is spent on projects in Africa.
Every member then needs to purchase a minimum of £1,500 per year in ‘credits’ to ensure that we’re making a sustainable step towards delivering clean power to Africa.
We’re very particular with where, how and why we work somewhere. That’s why we personally verify every project we work on, collecting all the receipts and proving the work that’s undertaken. By going into this much detail, it means that we can give you everything you need to follow the project yourself, talk to the people involved and showcase the project you’ve funded.
Power2Africa is built around creating strong networks into Africa, so we aim to ensure that 100% of the money donated is spent within Africa as long as the technology exists and can be economically sourced. This helps to ensure that the money is spent in the right places, but also helps to empower local communities and create local jobs.
